Meeting Cabinet Secretary Teddy, the Dutch Ambassador reported on Queen Maxima's agenda for her visit to Indonesia.  Queen Maxima Zorreguieta of the Netherlands is scheduled to visit Indonesia to meet with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, in her capacity as a high-ranking United Nations (UN) official.

In the official social media post of the Cabinet Secretariat in Jakarta, Friday, it was reported that the agenda was conveyed by the Dutch Ambassador to Indonesia, Marc Gerritsen, in his meeting with Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya at the Cabinet Secretariat Building, Jakarta.

"The Dutch Ambassador to Indonesia conveyed Queen Maxima's planned visit to Indonesia in the near future, in her capacity as a high-ranking official of the United Nations," reads an official statement from the Cabinet Secretariat.

During the private meeting, Ambassador Gerritsen also expressed King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima's appreciation for President Prabowo's brief visit to the Netherlands last September.

Ambassador Gerritsen's meeting with Cabinet Secretary Teddy also marked the first anniversary of the handover of his letter of credence to President Prabowo.

On that occasion, the Dutch Ambassador reported to Teddy regarding the concrete developments of a number of agreements resulting from President Prabowo Subianto's visit to the Netherlands last September.

"The agreement includes increased strategic cooperation in areas such as food, water, sustainable energy, investment, and industrial downstreaming, which aligns with President Prabowo's priorities," he said.

The Netherlands also ensures that all agreed commitments are moving according to the plan, which is a priority scale for development in Indonesia.

In addition to discussing strategic sectors, Ambassador Gerritsen and Cabinet Secretary Teddy also touched on the development of plans to return a number of Dutch historical and cultural relics to Indonesia.

In his statement, the Cabinet Secretariat stated that this effort is part of the diplomatic relations between the two countries, which increasingly prioritizes transparency and respect for historical values.

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto made a state visit to the Netherlands on September 26, 2025 as part of a four-country trip.

The visit resulted in a number of agreements, most notably the return of approximately 30,000 historical artifacts from Indonesia that had been stored in the Netherlands as part of a cultural reconciliation initiative.
