Nezar: Increasing digital access must be balanced with adaptability  Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria said that increasing digital access must be balanced with increasing parents' ability to adapt to developments in innovation so they can assist teenagers in utilizing technology.

"Digital access is expanding and can be a potential development if parents continue to adapt to the dynamic and evolving developments in digital innovation, rather than becoming a barrier," he said, as quoted in a TikTok press release on Tuesday.

In his written remarks for the event titled #SalingJagaTunasBangsa: "Growing Together, Safe in Cyberspace" in Jakarta on Tuesday, Nezar emphasized the importance of mentoring teenagers in utilizing digital technology that is beneficial for their development.

"Guiding teenagers in digital literacy and appropriate use of technology can be a means for adolescent growth and development according to their interests and talents," he said.

Digital transformation has changed the way teenagers learn and interact. It also presents challenges such as the rapid flow of information and an instant culture that influence teenagers' habits.

Parents play an important role in assisting teenagers in taking advantage of digital opportunities and understanding the information they receive, as well as protecting them in the digital space.

The Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Communication and Digital is collaborating with TikTok Indonesia to build a digital ecosystem that has a more positive impact on youth.

The #SalingJagaTunasBangsa campaign: "Growing Together, Safe in Cyberspace" was held to support the implementation of Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 concerning Governance of Electronic System Implementation in Child Protection or PP Tunas.

This activity, which was attended by more than 200 participants, provided an interactive space for parents, educators, and the community.
