Palmer missed the Barcelona and Arsenal games due to injury

Palmer missed the Barcelona and Arsenal games due to injury  Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer is sidelined again after breaking his toe in an accident at home.

In fact, the 22-year-old player is approaching a comeback from a groin injury.

This news was conveyed directly by Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca on Friday.

"He's definitely not ready to play tomorrow (against Burnley), Barcelona, or Arsenal. He had an accident at home and hit his toe on the door. It's nothing serious, but he won't be back for a week," Maresca was quoted as saying on the Chelsea website.

Palmer joined Chelsea in 2023 and has scored 38 Premier League goals. He was also a key figure in the Blues' 2025 Club World Cup triumph, scoring three goals in six appearances.

The England international had previously suffered a groin injury in August, but returned the following month, scoring goals against Brentford and Bayern Munich.

Unfortunately, he was withdrawn again against Manchester United, giving Maresca additional rest until an incident at home ruled him out again.

Maresca confirmed that a small fracture in Palmer's left little toe means his recovery time is uncertain.
