After introducing an artificial intelligence (AI)-based search feature on desktop last July, Perplexity launched the Comet browser for Android devices on November 20, 2025.
According to a TechCrunch report cited on Monday, Perplexity is bringing most of the desktop browser's features to Android.
Users can make Perplexity their default search engine, mention specific tabs to ask questions to the AI assistant, and use voice mode to ask questions about all open tabs.
Additionally, the virtual assistant in the Comet app can summarize search results from multiple tabs at once.
The company states that this browser is capable of conducting research and assisting users' shopping activities.
All actions carried out by virtual assistants can be monitored directly by the user.
The Android version of the Comet browser also comes with a built-in ad blocker.
