The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) announced on Thursday evening the 23 U22 national team players who will be competing in the 2025 SEA Games.The 23 players consist of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders and six attackers.
As previously reported, several Indonesian players playing abroad were included in the final squad. These players include Dion Markx, Ivar Jenner, Mauro Zijlstra, and Marselino Ferdinan.
The most striking difference between the 2025 SEA Games U22 national team squad and the previous SEA Games is that this time the squad consists of 23 players. At the 2023 SEA Games, the U22 national team only had 20 players.
Of the U22 national team that won the gold medal at the 2023 SEA Games, only three players remain who are currently still defending the national team for the 2025 SEA Games. The three players are Muhammad Ferarri, Ananda Raehan, and Marselino.
Bali United is the largest contributor of players to the U22 national team this time around. Three players are from Bali United: Kadek Arel, Jens Raven, and Rahmat Arjuna.
The U22 national team is scheduled to leave for Thailand to carry out various preparations in Chiangmai.
