Persija Jakarta Director Mohamad Prapanca explained the details of his team captain Rizky Ridho's new contract, which was recently extended until 2028 from the previous one until 2026.In his new contract, Persija included a clause regarding a transfer scheme if Ridho receives an offer to play for a foreign club. If Ridho is recruited by a foreign club before his new contract with Persija expires in 2028, he will have to return to Indonesia after completing his contract with the Kemayoran Tigers.
"We're not releasing him, the agreement will change his contract period. So, in the contract, we agreed that if Rizky Ridho decides to play for another club for a certain period of time, that will replace his current contract. So, when his contract expires, he will return to us," Prapanca said at the Persija office in South Jakarta on Friday, after attending the signing of the MoU between Persija and Terengganu FC.
In his new contract, Prapanca also explained that Ridho, who has 47 caps for the Indonesian senior national team, will not move to a local club in Indonesia as long as he is still under contract with Persija.
"(He moved to) a foreign club. In his agreement, he will not move to a local (Indonesian) club during his contract (valid)," explained Prapanca.
