SGA and Donovan were named the NBA Player of the Week for week five. Oklahoma City Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA) and Cleveland Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell were named the NBA's Players of the Week for week five of the 2025-2026 season.

The NBA website, Tuesday, said the weekly award is given to the best player from each conference, based on game performance during the evaluation period.

In the Western Conference, SGA consistently proved the Thunder's offensive force. He averaged 31 points per game (ppg), 4.3 rebounds per game (rpg), and 6.5 assists per game (apg).

His efficient performance and all-around contributions were key factors in Oklahoma City's positive run that week, while also solidifying his status as an early contender for individual awards this season.

Meanwhile, Donovan Mitchell is the top pick from the Eastern Conference after averaging 31.8 points per game (ppg), 6.3 rpg, and five apg. Mitchell's productivity has helped the Cavaliers maintain their competitive performance amid a busy schedule.
