Shenzhou-21 astronauts enter China's space station

The three astronauts of China's Shenzhou-21 manned spacecraft successfully entered the country's space station early Saturday (1/11).

They met up with the other three astronauts from the Shenzhou-20 mission, starting a new chapter of crew handovers in orbit.

The Shenzhou-20 crew opened the hatch at 4:58 a.m. Beijing Time (3:58 a.m. WIB) and welcomed the three newly arrived Shenzhou-21 crew members, the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) said.

The six crew members then posed for a group photo for the seventh space rendezvous in China's aerospace history.

They will stay and work together for about five days to complete planned tasks and the handover process, according to the CMSA.
