Thailand has officially set a ambitious target of winning 241 gold medals at the 2025 SEA Games, an ambition believed to be enough to ensure overall victory at the 33rd edition of the Southeast Asian Games.
As reported by The Nation, Wednesday, the target was announced in the final Meet the Press session of the 2025 SEA Games at the Rajamangala National Stadium, and was led by the Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) Dr. Gongsak Yodmani.
Paitoon Chutimakornkul, chairman of the Thai Sports Journalists Association, explained that the 241 gold medals were the result of a compilation of targets from 50 national sports associations presented during nine press conference sessions.
