The company said in a statement that its mission in Gaza "was temporary," noting the "conclusion of its emergency operations" in the sector, and claimed that it "provided more than 187 million free meals directly to civilians in Gaza during four and a half months."
She explained that she carried out her activities in "four distribution sites" where "former members of the American (military) service, humanitarian professionals, and local workers from Gaza" worked.
In the same context, Hamas described the announcement by the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” that it was ending its work inside the Gaza Strip as a deserved step for “an inhumane institution that fell with the fall of the extermination project and the engineering of starvation in partnership with the Zionist occupation.”
The movement added in a statement published on its Telegram account that “this institution, since entering the sector, has formed part of the occupation’s security system, by adopting distribution mechanisms that have no relation to humanity, and creating dangerous conditions that are humiliating to the dignity of the starving members of our Palestinian people, as they try to obtain a morsel of bread.”
She stated that the organization’s activities led to the martyrdom and injury of thousands of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, “due to sniping and deliberate killings, figures that expose the extent of that organization’s complicity in the crime of genocide.”
Hamas called on legal institutions and international courts to prosecute this organization and those in charge of it, and to hold them accountable for their crimes against the Palestinian people, “so that the tragedy is not repeated, and to protect humanity from organized international terrorism.”
Aside from the supervision of the United Nations and international relief organizations, Tel Aviv implemented a mechanism on May 27 to distribute aid through the "Gaza Humanitarian Relief Foundation," which Palestinians have dubbed "death traps." This entity is supported by Israel and the United States and is rejected by the United Nations.
Last Saturday, the official broadcasting authority reported that the organization had frozen its activities in Gaza in recent days as a result of "the ceasefire and the entry of hundreds of trucks loaded with aid."
The agency quoted unnamed sources as saying that the organization has not operated its aid distribution centers since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10.
On October 12, the Israeli army radio reported that the four distribution centers belonging to the organization had stopped operating, saying that this "means the project has failed and ended."
The Israeli occupation army repeatedly bombed Palestinians queuing to receive aid at the organization's distribution centers, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of thousands of them.
According to a previous report by the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz, "The circumstances surrounding the funding and establishment of the organization, which was created by Israel in coordination with American evangelicals and private security companies, are shrouded in mystery."
The ceasefireagreement in Gaza ended a two-year Israeli genocide in Gaza that began on October 8, 2023, with support from Washington, which left more than 69,000 Palestinian martyrs and more than 170,000 wounded.
