Indonesian Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir has asked the Indonesian Basketball Association to develop a roadmap for national basketball development as a prerequisite for the sport's inclusion in the list of leading sports being promoted by the government for the Olympics."I hope this roadmap for Indonesian basketball will be extraordinary," said Erick Thohir in his remarks at the inauguration of the DPD Perbasi at the Wisma Kemenpora, Jakarta, Friday.
Erick assessed that Indonesian basketball's development has shown a positive trend since winning its first silver medal at the 2001 SEA Games. He attributed this improvement to the hard work of all elements of the Indonesian Basketball Association (Perbasi).
