The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) inaugurated 87 fixed broadband internet access points in Sragen Regency, Central Java, through the Internet Village program to equalize connectivity down to the villages.
Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid said that the installation of new internet points was spread across Sribit Village and Tlogotirto Village.
"Today we are launching 87 new internet access points in Sribit Village and Tlogotirto Village, consisting of eight points in public facilities and 79 points in residents' homes," said Meutya in Sribit Village, Sragen Regency, Central Java on Wednesday.
The Internet Village program in Sragen is implemented through a partnership with local internet service providers and the Merah Putih Village Cooperative. This inauguration follows the initial phase of the Internet Village program, which has been implemented in five provinces with a total of 1,194 internet access points.
