The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) has urged the younger generation to become intelligent leaders in the use of technology and artificial intelligence (AI).
"This is where innovation and creativity meet public responsibility," said Nursodik Gunarjo, Director of Public Information at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, in an official statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
When opening the CommuniAction activity with the theme "Real Action, Planned Communication" in Batam, Riau Islands, Nursodik explained that the future of Indonesian public communication lies in the hands of young creators who are able to keep the digital space healthy.
The CommuniAction activity held by the Ministry of Communication and Digital serves as a forum to strengthen these capabilities and make creativity a national strength.
According to him, CommuniAction is not just an annual event, but a national movement that unites the government, communities, academics, media, and the younger generation.
"This is our contribution towards Golden Indonesia 2045, an Indonesia that is economically advanced and mature in communication," said Nursodik.
Nursodik added that we are currently experiencing a tsunami of information, with numerous news stories circulating via text messages, which can create public unrest. Many residents are panicking, some are afraid, and there's even the potential for misunderstandings between neighbors and relatives.
"However, after further investigation, it turns out the news never happened. It was simply misread, misinterpreted, and misrepresented," said Nursodik.
Therefore, CommuniAction 2025 is an important momentum to strengthen partnerships between government, communities, media, and universities.
