The occupation army launches a wide-scale campaign of arrests and raids in West Bank cities.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the occupation forces arrested four citizens from the city of Tulkarm and the town of Zita in the north after raiding their homes, in addition to arresting two young men after storming a vehicle garage on Nablus Street adjacent to the Nur Shams camp.

In Nablus, the occupation forces arrested a Palestinian after raiding his house on Kashika Street, and also arrested a young man from the town of Hawara, south of the city, after raiding and searching his house.

In Bethlehem, the occupation forces arrested two citizens from the Hindaza area, east of the city, after storming and searching their homes, while they raided other homes, tampered with their contents, and assaulted some of the residents.

In a related context, the occupation army carried out a campaign of raids on Thursday evening in various areas of the West Bank, during which gunfire and tear gas were used.

In the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, the forces raided dozens of homes and turned a residential building into a military barracks after expelling the families from it. The forces also imposed a complete closure on the village of Deir Nizam, northwest of Ramallah, and prevented entry and exit from it.

The village of Deir Nizam is constantly subjected to harassment from the army and settlers, including frequent raids and attacks on residents and their property.

In the town of Anabta, east of Tulkarm, Israeli occupation forces stormed the town center, detained several young men, and arrested one before withdrawing. Similar raids also took place in the towns of Arraba, Kafr Ra'i, and Fahma, south of Jenin, as well as in the Dabbous neighborhood of Jenin city, though no arrests were reported.

In the town of Hizma, east of occupied Jerusalem, the occupation forces fired live ammunition and gas bombs during a raid on the town, without any injuries being reported.

These incursions are part of a broad Israeli escalation in the West Bank by the army and settlers, which began in conjunction with the start of the Israeli war of extermination in Gaza on October 7, 2023.

The attacks in the West Bank resulted in the martyrdom of 1,066 Palestinians and the injury of about 10,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 20,000 Palestinians, including 1,600 children.

The two-year war of extermination in Gaza, which ended with a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10, resulted in the martyrdom of 69,000 Palestinians and the injury of more than 170,000 others, most of them children and women.
