The Palestinian Authority supports the Security Council resolution and reiterates its readiness to assume its responsibilities in Gaza.

The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that the State of Palestine’s statement called for the immediate implementation of the resolution’s provisions on the ground, paving the way for the return of normal civilian life to the Gaza Strip, providing protection for the population, preventing any displacement, in addition to the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces, the start of the reconstruction process, and the cessation of measures that weaken the two-state solution or pave the way for annexation.

The statement also affirmed the State of Palestine’s readiness to cooperate with the US administration, members of the Security Council, Arab and Islamic countries, the European Union, the United Nations, and all partner parties within the framework of the New York Declaration, with the aim of implementing the resolution and ending the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and pushing towards a political path that achieves peace and stability on the basis of the two-state solution.

The Palestinian Authority reiterated its readiness to assume its full responsibilities in the Gaza Strip, within the framework of the unity of the Palestinian territories and its institutions, stressing that the Strip is "an integral part of the State of Palestine."

The statement concluded by expressing appreciation to the countries that have declared their readiness to cooperate with Palestine and support efforts aimed at ending the occupation and enabling Palestinians to obtain their legitimate rights, including freedom and independence, and reaching a comprehensive solution that provides stability for the region.

On Monday evening, the Security Council voted by a majority in favor of the US draft resolution supporting President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza, which includes allowing the deployment of an international force to contribute to achieving stability within the sector.
