This year's forum is being held under the title "Unity of the Palestinian Position in the Face of Genocide and Displacement," with the aim of overcoming divisions within the Palestinian internal front regarding major issues affecting the cause.
The forum is attended by approximately 220 prominent figures from within Palestine and the diaspora, in addition to representatives of Palestinian communities, institutions, and organizations worldwide. The forum, an initiative of the "Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad," will take place on Friday and Saturday.
During the two days of the forum, several sessions will be held to discuss the following issues: “The Arab, Islamic and international position and its impact on the future of the Palestinian cause,” “Organizing the Palestinian house and achieving national consensus,” and “The future of Palestinian decision-making and the role of Palestinians abroad.”
Tomorrow, Saturday, two seminars will be held to discuss "An Independent National Vision for Managing Gaza" and "National Concerns and Challenges of the Current Moment." Two sessions will also be held under the titles "The World After the War of Extermination: Opportunities and Challenges" and "Representation of Palestinians: Between Monopoly and Freedom of Choice."
At the end of the forum, the organizers hold a press conference in which the final statement is read.
The forum was launched in 2023 as a free and open initiative for dialogue between all segments of the Palestinian people, away from organizational affiliations, with the aim of developing common positions towards the Palestinian cause.
This year’s session in Istanbul is gaining significant momentum after two bloody years due to the genocide committed by the occupation army against the Palestinians, the subsequent displacement campaigns in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, the expansion of settlements and annexation attempts, and the repercussions of international and American initiatives for a ceasefire.
