Zenit St. Petersburg escaped defeat against their host Krylia Sovetov (1-1) in the match that brought them together today, Sunday, as part of the fifteenth round of the Russian Premier League football competition

 

The home side took the lead with a goal scored by Italian player Fernando Costanza in the 50th minute.

Russian striker Maxim Gluchenkov responded with an equalizing goal for the northern capital team in the 56th minute of the match.

Zenit St. Petersburg raised their points tally to 30 after this draw, and now occupy third place in the league standings.

Krylia Sovetov also added a point to their tally, which reached 14 points and occupies the thirteenth position in the league standings.
