The network in Aceh Tamiang is back online following efforts to restore the BTS towers affected by the disaster, allowing residents to contact their families and resume their activities, and aid distribution is smoother.For Fariani, a housewife in Aceh Tamiang, the return of signal was the most significant change since the disaster. She was able to communicate again and learn about conditions outside the affected area.
"Thank God, I'm so happy to have a signal like this, so I can contact my family and children who are far away. I was so confused, I didn't know where to go. So, thank God," said Fariani, as quoted in a press release.
He conveyed this when meeting with the Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid in Aceh Tamiang.
