TSG 1899 Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann distributed 500 liters of beer to his team's supporters as a token of gratitude after playing his 500th Bundesliga match.
"I can't drink it, but I have something for you. This beer is my way of saying thank you for all your support over the years," Baumann said, as quoted on the official Bundesliga website on Monday.
Baumann actually made his 500th appearance in the German League when Hoffenheim drew 1-1 with Mainz.
However, because the match was held at the opponent's home ground, the 35-year-old goalkeeper only celebrated when Hoffenheim met Augsburg at their home stadium, Arena Prezero, Saturday (29/11), which was his 501st match, where Baumann led his team to a 3-0 win.
