Be aware of headaches that could be a sign of a seizure.  Headaches are a common problem triggered by stress, staring at a screen for too long, or lack of sleep, but sometimes they can also trigger seizures.

"Most headaches are benign and related to stress, migraines, or lifestyle triggers, but some patterns can overlap or precede epileptic activity (seizures)," said Dr. Atul Prasad, a neurologist at BLK Max Hospital, as quoted by the Hindustan Times on Sunday (30/11) local time.

Any unusual pattern of headaches should be taken seriously, as it may indicate another problem. Dr. Prasad listed several signs that could indicate seizure activity, including headaches accompanied by confusion, memory loss, and repeated episodes of unresponsiveness.

Then, headaches accompanied by abnormal movements, momentary blank stares, headaches with unexplained falls, waking up with a sore tongue also raise suspicion of nocturnal seizures.

Dr Prasad also explained different types of headaches such as pre-ictal headaches which appear just before a seizure, thus being a very prominent sign.
