The Principal Secretary of the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH), Muhammad Aqil Irham, emphasized that halal certification is not merely a regulatory obligation but should become a reputation and culture that determines the competitiveness of the national halal industry.
"Halal should be considered an added value, not a burden," said Aqil Irham in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday.
He further explained that strengthening the implementation of Halal Product Assurance (JPH) has also made the JPH ecosystem increasingly integrated and adaptive to industrial developments.
This strengthening also encourages the addition of new professions such as halal auditors, halal supervisors, and also the profession of halal slaughterers (Juleha) who already have competency standards through the SKKNI.
