Indonesian House of Representatives Speaker Puan Maharani encouraged the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) to play a role in building national economic strength and improving people's welfare.
Puan, as reported in Jakarta on Tuesday, also requested that the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) continue to build communication with the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) and the government in order to strengthen the national business world.
"Kadin is a pillar of the Indonesian economy. It has produced successful entrepreneurs, and this success can certainly benefit many people by creating jobs," Puan said at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Appreciation Night in Jakarta on Monday evening (December 1).
The event was part of the Kadin National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas). According to Puan, the Rapimnas is an important and strategic forum, bringing together businesspeople, government officials, and other stakeholders.
"On behalf of the Indonesian House of Representatives, I express my appreciation to the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) for its commitment and contribution to strengthening the nation's economic structure, building national and global networks, and creating a space for collaboration between the government and the business world," he said.
Puan views Kadin as having a strategic role in building a professional work ecosystem, creating the best environment for people who work professionally, dare to innovate, and strive for the best results.
According to Puan, without a competitive economic ecosystem, Indonesia will struggle to win the global economic competition, which is currently facing increasing pressure.
