Burkina Faso rallied to beat Equatorial Guinea 2-1
  The Burkina Faso national team came from behind to defeat the Equatorial Guinea national team 2-1 in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Group E match at the Mohammed V Stadium, Casablanca, on Wednesday.

In this match, Equatorial Guinea actually took the lead through Marvin Anieboh, but Burkina Faso was able to fight back thanks to goals from Georgi Minoungou and Edmond Tapsoba, according to CAF records.

Equatorial Guinea had to play with 10 men from the 50th minute after their full-back Basilio Ndong was shown a straight red card by the referee.

Thanks to this victory, Burkina Faso is currently ranked first in Group E of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with three points from one match, while the defeat leaves Equatorial Guinea in third place.
