Carlos Pena seeks the best formula for Persita Tangerang

Persita Tangerang coach Carlos Pena said he is currently searching for the best formula for his team during the competition break to navigate the remainder of the 2025/2026 BRI Super League season.

Quoted from the club's official website, Thursday, Pena explained that the competition break is actually not ideal for a team because ideally a team plays every week.

This requires hard work from the coaching team to prepare the team to face the next matches.

"We really don't like the next match, because the coach needs matches every week. It's not easy to play every two matches and then stop for three weeks, or play three matches and then stop for a month," said Pena.

"It's not easy or good for everyone, but we'll use this to continue to improve. We'll be more aggressive and better at finishing, looking for other options for the next match. And we'll work hard for the next match," he said.

Regarding the condition of his players during the competition break, all of his players are in good condition, except for Ryuji Utomo who is confirmed to be out until the end of the season due to knee surgery.

The Spanish coach said that Persita Tangerang is on a mission to bounce back after failing to achieve positive results in the last few matches.

"We have time for the next game, we have time to try some options that we need for the next game," said Pena.

Next, Persita Tangerang is scheduled to play in the 15th week of the BRI Super League against Persik Kediri at the Indomilk Arena Stadium, Tangerang.
