China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) has conducted successful tests on its new 800 kg drone

The China Army Telegram channel indicated that tests on the new AR-E800 drone took place at Jingdezhen Airport in China’s Jiangxi Province, where this aircraft, equipped with six pairs of propellers, was able to take off, fly, maneuver in the air, and land at a specific point, within a period of four minutes.

This heavy-duty drone can carry up to 300 kilograms of cargo in its internal compartment or on an external sling. The AR-E800 can be used to transport military equipment and weapons to hard-to-reach mountainous areas.

The AR-E800 was first unveiled in September 2025 at the Tianjin International Helicopter Exhibition, and AVIC indicated that it had received purchase orders for this drone.

It is worth noting that AVIC is one of the most important companies in China and the world in the field of aviation manufacturing, and has developed several types of drones such as the Wing Loong drones, as well as the AG600, which is currently the largest amphibious aircraft in the world.
