"Today, I need to convey in this happy session that, God willing, TVRI has signed a cooperation contract to broadcast the 2026 World Cup," said Chairman of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Saleh Partaonan Daulay, in Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra, on Monday.
This was conveyed by Saleh Partaonan Daulay during a series of Commission VII recesses with related partners, namely the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of MSMEs, Ministry of Creative Economy, National Standardization Agency, RRI, TVRI, and ANTARA.
According to the Chairman of Commission VII, this is a historic achievement and one that deserves to be commended, as no one would have imagined that TVRI would be able to broadcast the world's biggest football match in 2026.
