Commission VII gathers aspirations in disaster-affected areas in West Sumatra
Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, which oversees the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of MSMEs, Ministry of Creative Economy, National Standardization Agency, RRI, TVRI, and ANTARA, gathered the aspirations of the community in disaster-affected areas, especially in Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra (Sumbar).

"We are here, of course, to carry out our recess duties. We had already designated Padang Pariaman as our recess destination before the disaster struck," said Saleh Partaonan Daulay, Chairman of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, in Padang Pariaman Regency.

The Chairman of Commission VII emphasized that his presence with his working partners in Padang Pariaman was not because the area was in the disaster recovery phase, but rather because the relevant commission had already scheduled it long before.

The presence of the Commission VII delegation along with its working partners was not only to listen to aspirations or input from the local government, but more than that, it was also to directly absorb complaints from communities affected by natural disasters.

On that occasion, Saleh Partaonan Daulay said that Commission VII also distributed aid amounting to IDR 500 million which would be given to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) affected by the hydrometeorological disaster.
