Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the House of Representatives (DPR), Sukamta, highlighted the increasing activity of buzzers , which he said had now evolved from an individual activity into an industry run in an organized manner.
"We see that the buzzer phenomenon in Indonesia has evolved from what was once an individual activity to an organized industry, often operated by communication bureaus or agencies," Sukamta said at a working meeting with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Technology at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Monday.
Sukamta revealed that attacks on legislative institutions on social media have increased again in recent times, marked by various hashtags and calls attacking the DPR.
According to him, the attack was driven by robots and buzzers , so there needs to be collaborative law enforcement efforts between institutions and comprehensively to reach the parties behind the buzzer activities .
