Embiid returns, 76ers defeated by Hawks in two overtimes
The Philadelphia 76ers, who were joined by Joel Embiid after a three-week absence due to injury, suffered a 134-142 defeat to the Atlanta Hawks in double overtime in their NBA match on Monday WIB.

"I think it's more about resilience than composure. When we make mistakes, we're able to come back and make enough plays when needed," said Atlanta Hawks coach Quin Snyder, as quoted on the NBA's official website.

The return of Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey, who were playing together for the first time this season, was a minor touch in a wild game.

Embiid played 30 minutes, scoring 18 points, but was benched for the second overtime due to a game-minute limit to manage his fitness.

The game began to turn around as the Hawks led by eight points with less than a minute remaining. However, the 76ers scored 10 points in 34 seconds on a Quentin Grimes 3-pointer, an Embiid tip-in, and a Dominick Barlow and-1 layup. After Barlow missed the extra point, Maxey hit the equalizing 3-pointer with 8.8 seconds remaining.
