The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has begun implementing a new ranking system for the 3x3 category, starting Monday, as a key part of the qualification process for the 2028 Los Angeles (LA) Olympics.The FIBA 3x3 website stated that this policy is a follow-up to the FIBA Central Board's decision to extend the ranking calculation period from 12 months to 24 months.
The change aims to provide a more consistent, stable and representative evaluation of the performance of the national team (timnas) over a longer period of time.
