House of Representatives Commission VII: Prabowo's discourse on city planning requires clear legal regulations
Chairman of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Saleh Partaonan Daulay, said that President Prabowo Subianto's plan to organize urban planning in Indonesia requires clear legal regulations.

He said the President plans to involve an architectural team in the city's planning, but they won't be able to work without a clear foundation. Furthermore, most Indonesian cities are already overcrowded and congested.

"Even if that's to be done, the government must be decisive. It must start with establishing clear legal regulations. Although this path is difficult, if there's no other way, it must be pursued," Saleh said.

However, he said Prabowo's plan to establish an urban architecture team deserved praise. The program was considered excellent, particularly in addressing various contemporary urban and population issues.

He said that population density, traffic congestion, job shortages, social pathologies, and various social problems are already clearly visible. All of this stems from urban planning and the distribution of natural resources.
