Indonesia opened the ASEAN U-16 Futsal Championship with a win
  The Indonesian U-16 national futsal team opened the 2025 ASEAN Boys U-16 Futsal Championship with a convincing victory after defeating Myanmar 4-2 at Nonthaburi Hall, Thailand, on Tuesday.

In this match, Garuda Muda coach Reka Cahya Puthoadi fielded Azmi Anugrah (GK), Alfian Nurhayadi (C), Akmal Nashrur, Hetson Messi Sirait, and Muhammad Fauzan in the starting lineup.

Indonesia conceded first in this match in the 8th minute through Lin Latt Htun's goal after a long-range shot from the right side of the defense failed to be stopped by goalkeeper Azmi.

Garuda Muda needed eight minutes to equalize through Akmal Nashrur, who was in the right place to capitalize on Fauzan Shidik's pass that broke through the Myanmar defense.

The goal gave Indonesia more confidence. Three minutes later, they took the lead through Mahesa Reandra Putra, ending the first half with a 2-1 score.

Entering the second half, Indonesia managed to score two additional goals through Ibnu Alan in the 33rd and 38th minutes.

Meanwhile, Myanmar was only able to narrow the gap to one goal through Htet Phyo Aung's first-time shot, one minute after Ibnu's first goal.
