Apple has reportedly approved permission for iPhone owners in Brazil to download and purchase applications and digital services outside the App Store.
Gsmarena reported on Thursday local time that the company made a deal with Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense, which is investigating Apple regarding this matter.
The board has now approved Apple's proposed solution, and Apple has 105 days to implement changes to how apps and services are purchased on iOS in Brazil.
It is understood that this agreement is binding for three years and under its terms, Apple will allow developers to accept payments outside of the App Store and will also allow third-party app stores.
