Technology company Meta predicts five digital and social trends will grow rapidly in 2026 and drive new ways for businesses to strengthen customer relationships.Meta's Country Director for Indonesia, Pieter Lydian, said that trends that will shape people's and businesses' digital behavior over the next two years include artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, business messaging, AI-powered creator loops, video and live commerce, and cross-border shopping.
"People's shopping behavior is changing very rapidly. When people want to buy a product, they want to be able to ask questions directly, assess quality, and even get instant recommendations. All of this is facilitated by AI and conversations in messaging apps," Pieter said during a presentation on Meta technology trends.
