Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid stated that the Direction of Digital Indonesia is aligned with the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 and the 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, which is guided by the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).
"The theme we agreed on is connected, growing, and safeguarding," he said at the launch of Arah Indonesia Digital in South Jakarta on Wednesday.
In the connected aspect, the Ministry of Communication and Digital aims to provide inclusive, high-quality, and affordable digital connectivity.
In order to provide inclusive connectivity, the Ministry of Communication and Digital has conducted a selection auction for users of the 1.4 GHz radio frequency band aimed at providing affordable internet access services.
Meutya stated that the government is targeting all people to enjoy affordable internet access by 2026.
"So inclusivity can also be felt in terms of accessibility for people who previously lacked internet access," he said.
