The four Spanish football giants, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Athletic Bilbao, will play their 19th week matches of the 2025/2026 La Liga season earlier this week.
Barcelona will host Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou on Wednesday (3/12) at 03.00 WIB, while Real Madrid will visit San Mames to face hosts Athletic Bilbao on Thursday (4/12) at 01.00 WIB.
Originally, the Week 19 matches were scheduled to be held simultaneously on January 12 of next year. However, to accommodate the four teams' schedules in the 2026 Spanish Super Cup (semifinals and finals) to be held in Saudi Arabia in January of next year, their Week 19 matches have been moved up.
In the Spanish Super Cup, Barca is scheduled to face Bilbao on January 8 and Real Madrid will face Atletico on January 9 in the semi-finals.
Barca is confident heading into this match after retaking the top spot from Real Madrid in the previous match. Barca now sits in first place with 34 points, one point ahead of their biggest rivals.
However, the home team shouldn't be complacent. Atletico comes into this match with a stellar record, having won seven of their last seven matches in all competitions. Their last defeat came on October 22nd against Arsenal in the Champions League, a 0-4 loss.
