"We strongly support MotoGP's program for international championships and other international championships held in Indonesia," Moreno Suprapto said at a press conference in Jakarta on Sunday.
"We at the Indonesian Motorcycle Association also focus on development, as we are regulators of early development, starting from ages 6, 8, and 12, as well as two-wheeled and four-wheeled sports," he added.
In addition, Moreno said that IMI currently has a major task, namely drafting driving regulations and compiling an event calendar for 2025.
Meanwhile, the General Chairman of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Central, Lieutenant General TNI Retired Marciano Norman, expressed great hope that IMI would be able to produce athletes who excel on the international stage through the program breakthroughs that will be prepared in the future.
"I am confident that under Mr. Moreno, IMI will make breakthroughs that will give our athletes the opportunity to make us all proud with their achievements," said Marciano Norman.
After being officially inaugurated, the IMI Management for the 2025-2030 period will hold a national working meeting (rakernas) which will discuss, among other things, the programs for the 2026 event calendar.
