Pakistani PM sends doctors to Indonesia with sincerity, says poet Sapardi

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif mentioned the name of renowned Indonesian writer Sapardi Djoko Damono when he stated that the plan to send Pakistani medical personnel to Indonesia was a sincere act.

In a joint statement with President Prabowo Subianto at the Prime Minister's official residence (PM House) in Islamabad on Tuesday, PM Sharif explained that the two leaders agreed to send medical personnel to help Indonesia increase the number of medical faculties.

"Today we also agreed that we would be happy to send doctors, dentists, medical professors, and other related experts from Pakistan to Indonesia to realize your dream of establishing a number of medical faculties and universities there," said PM Sharif.

PM Sharif explained that the Pakistani government is ready to send medical personnel and health experts without delay, wholeheartedly, as long as it is possible.

Sharif also mentioned Sapardi Djoko Darmono, a renowned Indonesian writer and poet who wrote about the warmth of life and sincerity. This warmth is reflected in the relationship between the two countries and his meeting with President Prabowo.

"So, this warmth stems from sincerity, not from routine protocol. And we truly feel that warmth today, even though the weather is expected to get colder in Islamabad in the coming days," Sharif said.

President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the commitment of the Indonesian and Pakistani governments to strengthen strategic cooperation in various sectors, from health and trade to foreign policy.

In the health sector, President Prabowo appreciated Pakistan's commitment to sending experts, including doctors and professors, to support Indonesia's major program to meet the national health workforce needs.

"So I am very happy, I am very grateful that Pakistan is willing to help us in the health sector by sending your doctors, professors, and experts to help us in the health sector," Prabowo said.
