PDIP: Christmas 2025 is a moment to strengthen the spirit of caring for the motherland and solidarity
The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) wishes all Christians a Merry Christmas 2025, while inviting the public to make Christmas 2025 a moment to strengthen the spirit of social solidarity and concern for others, especially amidst the natural disasters that have hit several regions in Indonesia.

"Christmas is God's work of salvation from the very beginning, through the Christ Child, whose birth was simple and filled with social solidarity. The spirit of Christmas is particularly relevant amidst the natural disasters that have struck several regions in Indonesia," said PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto in Jakarta on Thursday.

Hasto said this year's Christmas was celebrated in a different atmosphere. Floods and landslides in Sumatra and several other regions in Indonesia resulted in loss of life and property.

"The PDI-P's Central Executive Board's Christmas celebration will be held in Central Tapanuli. Christmas is about taking sides, including those struggling due to natural disasters. Let us pray for our brothers and sisters affected by the disasters, especially in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, as well as other areas where thousands of people have died and thousands more have been left homeless," Hasto continued.

Hasto said the disaster we are currently facing is a test that can strengthen our faith and patience.
