Prabowo, Pakistani President hold one-on-one and bilateral meetings

  Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari held a one-on-one (tête-à-tête) and bilateral meeting with their respective delegations at the Pakistani Presidential Palace Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad, Pakistan, Tuesday (9/12) local time.

Based on an official statement received by ANTARA in Jakarta, Wednesday morning, President Prabowo was welcomed directly by President Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Sadr Palace.

The warm atmosphere was evident from the start when the two leaders greeted each other and shook hands before continuing with the meeting agenda.

From the reception area, President Prabowo and President Zardari then walked side by side to the meeting room located on the fourth floor

Throughout the journey, the two of them appeared to be chatting lightly about the long-standing friendship between Indonesia and Pakistan.

Before boarding the elevator, a warm moment occurred when a Pakistani child gave President Prabowo a bouquet of flowers.

This moment added to the impression of closeness and friendliness during President Prabowo's first state visit to Pakistan.

Upon arrival at the meeting room, the two leaders began their official agenda with a tête-à-tête meeting. During the meeting, President Prabowo and President Zardari exchanged views on the situation in the region and strengthened the partnership between the two countries.

After the tête-à-tête, the agenda continued with a bilateral meeting between the two leaders and their respective country's delegations.

The bilateral meeting affirmed the commitment of both countries to strengthen mutually beneficial relations for the welfare of the people of both countries.

During the series of meetings, President Prabowo received the highest award, the Nishan-e-Pakistan, which was awarded directly by President Zardari.

The award reflects Pakistan's respect for President Prabowo's contribution to strengthening bilateral relations and strategic cooperation between Indonesia and Pakistan.
