Six applications selling financing customer data are no longer active
The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) stated that six applications that sold customer data to debt collectors or "mata elang" (eagle eyes) are no longer active.

This follows allegations of misuse of vehicle financing customer data circulating through digital applications. Eight applications have been submitted for delisting from the digital platforms.

"Komdigi has submitted a request to the relevant digital platform, Google, to delist eight digital apps related to the practice of eagle eye. Currently, six of the apps are inactive," said Alexander Sabar, Director General of Digital Space Supervision at the Ministry of Communication and Information, in a statement .

He added that the two other applications that have not been taken down are currently undergoing further verification by the platform.

Alexander explained that the application for deletion was submitted after indications of unauthorized distribution of fiduciary object data were discovered.
