The Indonesian government will regulate distribution permits for sports products through the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and Domestic Component Level (TKDN) schemes, Deputy Minister of Industry Faisol Riza said.
According to Faisol, the regulations that will soon be issued are expected to be able to encourage national industry by giving priority to products made by original Indonesian brands.
"I conveyed that the collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports is ongoing and will reach the technical level. Discussions will focus on distribution permits for sports equipment and sports apparel," he said after speaking on a panel discussion at the 2025 Indonesia Sports Summit at the Indonesia Arena in Jakarta on Sunday.
"So (this regulation) will improve domestic products through the SNI and TKDN schemes," he added.
