As many as 170 swimmers from across four generations took part in enlivening the 1st Nika Fun Relay Swimming Championships 2025 which took place at the Nika Training Pool.
Unlike previous events hosted by Nika, this tournament was held for group or team categories. The teams, comprised of families, came from various regions, some even from outside Jakarta.
"Yes, PB Aquatik supports this year's Nika Fun Relay Swimming Championships because it is in line with the Let's Swim movement that we have often promoted," said PB Aquatik Indonesia's Daily Chairperson Harlin E. Rahardjo in an official statement.
Harlin explained that this event also serves as a campaign from the Indonesian Aquatics Association to introduce swimming as an inclusive sport that can be participated in by people of all ages.
"Swimming is an inclusive sport for all ages. So, just like today, the youngest participant was 8 years old, and the oldest was 85. And they happened to be on the same team, making it a four-generation family relay team," Harlin added.
