The 2025 SEA Games have officially ended, with the hosting baton shifting to Malaysia.
The 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand officially ended after the closing ceremony was held at the Rajamangala National Stadium, Bangkok, Saturday night.

The closing of this biennial multi-event marks the end of the competition for athletes from eleven Southeast Asian countries and also marks the start of the countdown to the next edition of the SEA Games in Malaysia.

The closing ceremony was held in a lively atmosphere, with the theme "The Sound of the Whistle." This concept emphasizes that the whistle not only signals the end of the match but also marks the beginning of a new journey for the athletes.

Thousands of athletes, officials, volunteers and spectators were immersed in the atmosphere of togetherness as the parade of athletes from 54 sports filled the main field of the stadium.

In his remarks, Thailand's Minister of Tourism and Sports Artthakorn Sirilatthayakorn expressed his appreciation to all athletes, officials, and participating countries who contributed to the success of the 33rd SEA Games.

He emphasized that this event is not only about winning medals, but also about friendship, sportsmanship, and unity in the Southeast Asian region.

The ceremony culminated with a video showing the best moments of the 2025 SEA Games, before the SEA Games torch was symbolically extinguished.

The fire extinguishing procession was accompanied by the sound of whistles blown in unison by the stadium spectators. This created an emotional and reflective atmosphere reflecting on the athletes' efforts throughout the competition.
