The coach of the Indonesian U-19 futsal national team said there is a lot to learn.
Indonesian U-19 national futsal team coach Naim Hamid Salim said his team had a lot to learn after being defeated by Thailand in the final of the 2025 ASEAN U-19 Futsal Championship.

Playing at Nonthaburi Hall, Thailand, Monday, Garuda Muda lost 1-3 to the hosts after a tight 1-1 draw in the first half.

"They have a lot to learn. But so far, this is a struggle that, for me and the coaching staff, has been extraordinary for the players. We really appreciate the players' efforts. They've done what they had to do," Naim said after the match, in an audio message received by ANTARA in Jakarta on Monday from the Indonesian national futsal team.

Indonesia equalized 1-1 in the first half from a Muhammad Robby Faturrahman penalty in the 20th minute after Thailand had taken the lead three minutes earlier thanks to a goal from Poompochid Huab-Um.

In the second half, Sorrawit Sirisawas scored his second goal against Guntur Rochmatdhani in the 21st minute after an Indonesian player made a mistake in the area. Thailand extended their lead after Setthawut Srithong scored in the 25th minute.

Naim assessed the match as a draw, but individual errors made the outcome different. This led Naim to say his team needed to learn a lot.
