A statement issued by the press service of the organization responsible for the application said: "The number of users of the Max application has reached 75 million people, and the average daily access to the application reached 45 million users during the current month of December."
The statement added: "Since the app's launch, users have sent more than 6.5 billion messages through it, used it to make more than 2 billion calls, and bloggers, businesses, and government institutions have created more than 122,000 public channels on Max, with more than 35 million subscribers."
Vladimir Kiriyenko, CEO of the Russian VK network responsible for the app, noted last September that the app's popularity is constantly growing among both adults and young people, and that the app with its new features can be downloaded from the App Store, RuStore and Google Play online stores.
The Russian social network VK launched the first beta version of this application in March of this year. The application has been very popular with users inside and outside Russia. Users can use the application to send text and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and create and subscribe to channels. Its users in Russia also have access to a "digital ID" feature that will eliminate the need to show paper documents to prove their identity in hotels and some shops in Russia. They can also use it to access the Russian government services application "Gosuslugi".
