The Indonesian National Police Criminal Investigation Unit thwarted drug trafficking in the 2025 DWP.
The Narcotics Crime Directorate  of the Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency successfully thwarted the distribution of narcotics that were planned to be distributed during the Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) 2025 event in Bali on December 12–14, 2025.

"A series of actions against drug dealers at the event were carried out several days before the DWP event began," said the Director of Drug Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, in a press conference at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Building.

Eko stated that investigators successfully uncovered six drug syndicates and arrested 17 suspects. In addition, seven individuals were added to the wanted list (DPO).

Of the 17 suspects, Eko continued, 16 are Indonesian citizens (WNI), consisting of 10 men and six women. The other suspect is a foreign national (WNA) from Peru.

"It is suspected that the suspects who have been arrested are involved in a cross-provincial network, including networks in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bali, as well as a cross-national network, involving foreign nationals," he said.

From this disclosure, investigators confiscated a number of pieces of evidence consisting of 31 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 956.5 ecstasy pills, 23.59 grams of powdered ecstasy, and 135 grams of happy water .

Then, ketamine weighed 1,077.72 grams, cocaine weighed 33.12 grams, MDMA weighed 21.09 grams, marijuana weighed 36.92 grams, and 3.5 happy fives .

"If the evidence is circulating on the black market, the drug value is Rp. 60,508,691,680.00," he said.

This disclosure also succeeded in saving 162,202 lives.

The suspects are suspected of violating Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, subsidiary to Article 112 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

Eko said that this action was a police mitigation measure to prevent drug distribution at international events.

"Last year, we observed that the handling of the DWP event was less than optimal, resulting in a counterproductive effect on the National Police. We are now changing our approach, and this will serve as a guideline for future security measures at major national events that could potentially be exploited by drug networks for profit," he said.
