The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) said it still needs police personnel in its organization.  The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it still needs personnel from the Republic of Indonesia National Police (Polri) in its anti-corruption agency.

"We convey that in terms of needs, there is still a need for police personnel in several assignments," said KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto at a press conference on the KPK's 2025 Year-End Performance at the KPK's Red and White Building in Jakarta on Monday

Setyo explained that the need for Polri personnel within the organization is also stated in Law Number 19 of 2019 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 30 of 2002 concerning the Corruption Eradication Commission or the KPK Law.

"The KPK Law states that investigators can be recruited from other institutions. Furthermore, given that some laws have not been subject to judicial review, we will of course adhere to that, including the KPK Law itself. That's the answer," he said.

He made the statement in response to Constitutional Court Decision Number 114/PUU-XXIII/2025 which emphasized that police officers serving outside the Indonesian National Police must resign and the government's efforts to draft a Government Regulation to regulate the placement of police positions outside the institution.

"We were also involved in addressing the Constitutional Court's ruling on the assignment of police officers. This means the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was involved in several discussions, most recently on Saturday (December 20th)," he said.
