Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) and Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas are finalizing the Housing Law."We came to discuss the Housing Law. There are several strategic issues concerning land, financing, balanced housing, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Previously, we had discussions with the Housing Task Force, Mr. Hashim Djojohadikusumo, regarding flats and subsidized housing. We have prepared everything and studied the regulations to ensure they comply with governance," Ara said at a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He emphasized that the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries continues to strengthen cross-sector coordination to ensure that all policies are implemented effectively and within legal boundaries.
Ara held an official meeting with Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas to expedite discussions on several key regulations in the housing and residential areas sector, particularly the Housing Law.
He stated that the meeting was an important step in aligning the drafting of housing regulations with the needs of the community and the directives of President Prabowo Subianto.
Ara further stated that discussions would continue through dialogue with housing industry stakeholders. He appreciated the Ministry of Law's swift response.
"Thank you, Minister of Law, for your swift action. Tomorrow, we will immediately hold further discussions with housing associations, developers, state-owned enterprises, and Perumnas to obtain input regarding the regulation of apartment buildings," he said.
Ara ensures that the entire process is carried out inclusively, so that the resulting regulations are targeted and support low-income communities (MBR).
Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas affirmed his full support for the acceleration of housing sector regulations.
"We fully support the regulatory aspects of providing decent housing for low-income families. We must support this, including accelerating the completion of the Housing Law. Because this is a presidential program, we will fully support it," said Supratman.
This meeting marks a concrete step by the government to accelerate the provision of decent, affordable, and quality housing for the community.
The collaboration between the Ministry of PKP and the Ministry of Law reinforces the spirit of mutual cooperation to provide better housing services throughout Indonesia.
