In the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, local sources said that Israeli airstrikes targeted areas outside the control of the occupation army, coinciding with gunfire from military vehicles and helicopters.
Eyewitnesses also reported that areas east of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip were subjected to Israeli air raids, with no immediate information available about casualties.
In a related context, a Palestinian child was seriously injured on Tuesday when the Israeli occupation army opened fire on him west of Beit Lahia town in the northern Gaza Strip, while the occupation continued its demolition of residential buildings east of the Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City.
A medical source said that a 13-year-old child was seriously wounded in the head after being shot in the Al-Salatin area, west of Beit Lahia.
In Gaza City, the occupation army carried out a new demolition operation, the second in the same area since the morning, targeting residential buildings east of the Zeitoun neighborhood within the areas under its control.
These developments come amid ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10th.
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the continuation of Israeli violations has led to the martyrdom of 406 Palestinians since the agreement came into effect, while the Government Media Office in Gaza reported that the total number of violations reached 875, resulting in the martyrdom of 411 Palestinians and the injury of 1,112 others until Monday evening.
With American support, on October 8, 2023, Israel began committing genocide in the Gaza Strip that lasted for about two years, leaving nearly 71,000 Palestinian martyrs and more than 171,000 wounded, in addition to widespread destruction that affected about 90% of the civilian infrastructure.
